Figurative examples of light and darkness can be seen in the figures of various biblical characters, such as light in every segment of Christ’s ministry.

The struggle between light and darkness continues in the lives of believers. Every Christian is also called to be “the light of the world,”
Matthew 5:14. This means that through faith in Christ, we have the opportunity to reflect His light in our actions, thoughts, and attitudes towards the world around us.“You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.”
However, the struggle is not always easy. There are many temptations in the world that lead people into darkness.
Ephesians 6:12. Therefore, it is essential to remember that the strength of our weapons in the battle against darkness is prayer, faith, and God's presence in our lives.“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against rulers, against authorities, against cosmic powers over this present darkness, against spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.”
Each of us can choose which direction to go: whether to the light that leads to life in Christ, or to the darkness that leads to spiritual death. This is a choice that will affect our future.
2 Corinthians 5:17. This truth empowers us to drive out darkness and embark on a new, bright life.“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away; behold, the new has come!”
